Please join us in welcoming Ahsan Shafiq to the Emeg Group as our new Quantity Surveyor working out of our Manchester design office.
Ahsan joins Emeg Group’s commercial team as Quantity Surveyor, reporting to our Commercial Director Adam Connell. He will work closely with our project teams to provide commercial support and management at every stage of the large-scale construction projects undertaken by the business. Ahsan will estimate and control costs while ensuring these projects meet legal, quality and risk evaluation standards, to deliver maximum value for money and the best possible outcome for our clients and partners.
Ahsan will also help in the development of our commercial procedures and processes, aligning these processes across projects to ensure we deliver as per the agreed contracts while minimising any risk to Emeg Group.
Ahsan is a time-served Quantity Surveyor, having trained with Balfour Beatty while studying for a first-class degree in Quantity Surveying at the University of Salford. He also holds a Diploma in Construction & Built Environment and a City & Guilds L3 Electro Technical.
Ahsan has since gained experience in several sectors of the rail, civils and utilities industries, including MEP services, main contracting, and modular/off-site fabrication. Recently, Ahsan has worked on multiple hospital projects as Commercial Lead, with a key focus on modern construction methods and managing junior team members in the successful delivery of M&E packages with a combined value in excess of £25m.
