Emeg Group are pleased to announce the award of the HVAC and fire suppression upgrade works for the existing Sandhills IECC relay rooms in Liverpool.
The Sandhills IECC (Integrated Electronic Control Centre) contains the central relay room responsible for safe movement across the entire Liverpool Merseyrail commuter network serving 34 million passenger journeys per annum, across the 68 station network. As a vital facility for the operation of the network, Emeg will be carrying out the 6-week project whilst the network remains live 24/7 to serve the city and surrounding areas.
Emeg Group’s responsibilities will include the replacement of the existing cooling installation, the introduction of new, humidified fresh air, and the replacement of a clean agent fire suppression system for the vital services relay room within the IECC, with zero-hours planned disruption.
We are proud to be working with, and strengthening our relationships with, both Network Rail and Merseyrail on this critical upgrade project.
