Emeg is part of Cubby Group, a multi-sector industrial group, operating from eight locations across the UK, with expertise in construction, civil engineering, rail solutions and infrastructure, renewable energy and utilities. Emeg is a provider of rail solutions, mechanical and electrical engineering services with a UK head office in Chesterfield and a design office in Warrington.
Emeg offers turnkey in-house solutions to all rail engineering projects – from new build, enhancement & refurbishment works to some of the most exciting and ambitious rail projects taking place across the UK. Throughout our long-standing history, our work has been mainly within maintenance depots and sidings, station upgrades and re-signalling / pway project works; however, these days, there isn’t much our growing team of rail experts can’t handle.

We employ a consistent site workforce of full-time engineers, electricians, pipe fitters, gas installers and heating & ventilation engineers, all ably controlled by our project management teams, backed up with off site services of SQE, estimating, procurement and design.
We believe that safety is a behavioural culture and an attitude and as such is lead from the top by the Managing Director. We firmly believe that our unprecedented success in continuing to achieve zero accidents over our full, 25-year trading history is a tribute to our work ethos. This ethos and safety-first culture, coupled with our highly experienced and time-served workforce, is fundamental to our past and continued success.
40+ Years of Safety
Emeg engineers were responsible for the very first Depot Protection System (DPS), installed at the newly built Norwich Crown Point rail depot in 1980. We’ve come a long way since then and have designed and installed DPS solutions in depots all over the UK.
