Description of Project
A new ‘gateway’ station building and footbridge has been constructed to replace the existing
Station along with associated works including the demolition of the existing station. A partnership arrangement had been set up between Network Rail, London Midland and Northampton Council.
Design Services Provided

New Station building internal & external services to reflect Network Rail, London Midland vision.

Integration and solutions for all M&E services and associated Telecoms & CIS supplies.

Full survey of existing services to allow efficient decommissioning of existing station building services.

Coordination of reconstruction works for platform 1 – canopy removed as part of station demolition works.

Electrical Services for Footbridge – a single span bridge has been installed between platform 1 and 2 to replace the current footbridge.

Howdon Satellite Depot
With the existing Nexus Metro depot at Gosforth, North Tyneside undergoing redevelopment works, Howdon needed to be brought online as an additional depot facility quickly and safely.

The project consisted of the provision of new – and the refurbishment of existing – retail spaces at Euston Station.
Wakefield Westgate Station Redevelopment
The station comprises a new station building, forecourt, road access and drop-off and collection areas. A new passenger footbridge forms part of the town’s Westgate Key Development Area Redevelopment.
Fuelling Facility – Croft Street, Preston Depot
The Northern Hub programme was developed to increase capacity, line speed and connectivity throughout the North West of England. Croft Street Depot, Preston is one of the Network Rail owned depots to be upgraded and have a new fuelling system installed.
Northern Hub Electrification – Allerton Depot
Allerton is one of the four Network Rail owned depots to be upgraded and have OLE reinstated in order to facilitate the maintenance of the additional electric rolling stock.
Leyland Carriage Sidings
Leyland Carriage sidings is one of the four Network Rail owned depots to be upgraded in order to facilitate the maintenance and servicing of the additional rolling stock.
