We installed a 155kWp DC roof mounted solar array for Harrow Council at its MOT depot and office. The project was secured via a competitive tendering exercise and we provided a full turn-key solution, comprising concept design, detailed system design, electrical installation and commissioning.
The 155kW system installation constituted 357Nr 435w tier 1 Longi solar modules mounted on a Van-der-Valk ValkPro+ ballasted mounting system and utilised 2nr 60kW Solis inverters designed to maximise performance.
The scheme was mounted on the flat roof above the main vehicle cleaning facility and is connected into a 250A isolator at roof level, with the point of connection in the sites main LV switch room at ground level.
The project benefits from Solis’s cloud-based monitoring system, allowing the client to display the generation data from the system in a central location within the main office atrium.
The site remained operational throughout the installation phase, with our engineers under robust permit to work systems, abiding by the client’s stipulations around deliveries and access requirements. Materials were loaded to roof level over the course of a morning utilising a crane and distributing pallets according to roof load requirements.
The scheme was delivered in a three-week onsite period.
